OMG!
Well since the Pub was bought with my pay, then I will set the one and only rule!
No poster's allowed with two of the same vowel after each other in thier name.
Now I need to hire a couple bartenders. I will now take applications.
In the mean time I sit at this bar all alone awaiting for the first customers to arrive.
I bust open a bottle of scotch.

Hmmm seems I am the lonely one in this forum who only speaks English. Which is pretty sad since I live in a country that does not speak English. Well many people do, but they don't like to, and usually scatter like roaches when they hear I speak english only. OR they speak english for 10 mins and then switch over to Swedish and ignore me the rest of the time. Oh well, such as life.
So it appears I will be talking to myself over here.
It's okay, I can talk to myself. I only have to worry if I have an argument with myself and LOSE.
So Skittles how's it been going?
Offline
Not the greatest. After staying awake long enough to break the record for the longest introduction, I have been struggling with my narcolepsy sleep disorder horribly this past week.
I have been having some major sleep attacks that hit me fast this week. Normally I get some signs first, and can usually complete my conversations and finish what I am doing, before it actually hits. Not this week.
You can just ask Ishimaru about that. I am pretty sure I freaked her out, as she has not talked to me since. But it's understandable. It is very strange and weird when it happens.
I also had this happen a couple other times this week, with others as well.
Because it's been so long since I have had it so bad that I start typing gibberish or my dreams while on the internet, I am thinking that it is added stress that is causing it. Altho I don't particularly feel extra stressed over anything in particular.
So how about yourself there, alter ego Skittles?
Offline
Well I am doing fairly well. Just scared to go to bed now that I am finally somewhat awake. I slept all day yesterday, because I could not wake up, or even remember when I was awake. Now I am afraid if I go to bed, I won't be able to wake up again. And again the whole day will be ruined. It looks like it's gonna be a nice day, and it would be nice to go out for a walk by the canal in the city. Well actually it's the old mote. I like that area of town.
Offline
Sounds beautiful.
Don't worry so much about the sleep thing. It could be that the narcolepsy is so bad because you stayed up for 30+ hours the other day. Probably put your body thru a shock. So don't start that again. Go ahead and get some sleep!

I have just finished to make the missing icons for the forum and now, all is left is to insert them in the CSS, and to add the final touch to the stylesheet.
By the fact that this Saturday is my chair-skiing day, and Sunday is Easter Day (so I might be busy), the earliest day when I will be able to put the new version online is Easter Monday.
Because this includes the board's migration, I will have to put a maintenance message in the site's root folder during the uploads. I will send a newsletter as soon as I finished everything, so I can give you a date for the maintenance.

Chair-skiing day? Do u just mean you are going skiing where you will take a chair life up? I thought all skiing was like that, other than cross-country.
I have only been skiing once in my life. The instructors gave up on me at the Bunny Hill, after my 4th lesson or more. LOL I should have called it sledding because I pretty much sat on my skis the whole way down. hehehe And ran into a fence once...or was it a tree or bush? I can't remember. But it was something, because my friends said they should ask me to come again when they want some entertainment. lol
Offline
I have never skiied in my life, we can't ski here 8) but you can go hinterland in NSW in the mountains there (west of Sydney) and I believe you can go skiing there.
There is also Perisha Blue in Victoria. I have not been to any of those 2 locations though (but I have been to Sydney and Canberra, but not Melbourne).
Ah the joys of living in a country where it never snows in the main capital cities 8)

No, I don't mean that. I talk about handiski for people with low mobility. There are two kinds : the one with the instructor, for people who can't ski by themselved (blindness or very low mobility), and the dual-ski for people who have low mobility only at their legs.
The one I had is the one with the instructor. Here's a picture of this device :

I have to go to bed at 8pm tonight as we have to get up at 2:30am in the morning  my sister is going down to Melbourne for a week, and we are all going to BNE airport to see her go, so at 3:30am we can leave the house to speed along the empty Brisbane streets in our super sexy red hot Ferrari whilst being chased by the AFP for illegal downloads
OK ok I made that last part up.
Leave at 3:30am so we can drive to the airport like proper citizens so she can check in my 4:30am to depart at 6:30am and arrive at Melbourne at 9:35am (8:35am Brisbane time as they have this nasty pickle called DST down there  ).

Ishi >> Wow, I've never saw that kind of skiing around here. I remember when I went to Mont-St-Anne in Québec, there were some blind people skiing by their selfs with a flash yellow jacket and an instructor behind yelling "LEFT... RIGHT... LEFT..." non-stop.

WOW! That is really cool!!!
I didn't know they had such things for disabled people. That would be something that I would love to do. As there is no way I could even attempt to ski now. I wonder if they have it here in Sweden. I will have to check on that. Because my husbands closest friends go up to their families cabin in a ski resort area every year to ski, but my husband doesn't get invited anymore because I can't ski and they would feel bad leaving me out. That looks really fun!

I will take some beer AND some cake! hehehe
I just had my morning coffee EXPRESS hehehe
I took a large bowl (like to mix salads in), put in some vanilla ice cream, poured some Irish Cream syrup and some chocolate syrup on it. Added a half a mug of very very strong coffee (espresso basically), and a lot of Coffee Liquor. hehehe
Mixed it all up, and drank it straight from the bowl with a straw! hahaha YUM!!!!!! It was fantastic! I can drink that kind of coffee every morning!
I think next time, I will add more coffee liquor. I didn't feel or taste one bit of it! lol
Offline
Wow that sounds delicious Skittles sounds like a certainly new way for people to have coffee! 8) Was it hot, or cold? I find it hard to drink hot things with a straw... better to bring the bowl straight to the mouth and drink it down... of course it spills down and makes a real mess
Once last year I tried to make apple juice... of course I had no idea what I was doing, I chopped up 4 apples, added apple juice then mixed it in the blender :x it tasted revolting! Of course there was no added sugar in it, maybe I should just pour a whole cup of sugar or salt in next time :? but that would make it really sugary and disgusting.
When me and my sister get McDonalds, we like to remove the lid off the thickshake container and dip in our chips into the chocolate thickshake and eat it... yum, but it of course really revolts my parents. Haha.. then one time I was bored so I dipped part of my chicken fillet burger into the thickshake and ate it.. now that was an experience to remember... the bread got soggy and it all the thickshake ran down throughout the burger so it was like a sponge... My sister did a similar thing by dipping her chicken nuggets into it... she said it tasted really nice
I know I am weird and eat weird things, but hey, thats me
However, we might be a nation of wierd eaters :? on Australia Day, it was fashionable to go down to the local icecream palour and order a Vegemite flavoured icecream... it was the first time it had ever been tried and quite a few icecream places were selling it. Apparently it tastes quite nice, but I didn't want to try it. I wonder if next year they will make sausage flavoured icecream... oh god that makes me want to puke just thinking of the idea...
P.S, what type of cake would you like? We have vanilla, black forest, sponge, chocolate, mud, butterscotch, caramel, strawberry...

This guy is a friend of my brother and he lived one year with us when he was at high school because his mom's home was too far (1h30 by car) from the school. When we were cooking spaghetti, he used to put spaghetti between two bread slices. Yes that's weird

It was cold of course. Way more cold things than hot things. It was fantastic and I am really thinking about having another one. lol I am currently fighting a sleep attack from my narcolepsy right now, so maybe it will help. But I doubt it, coffee is never strong enough for people with narcolepsy. Hmm I recall saying that already somewhere. I hope it wasn't here in my last post. hehehe It's like one of those Desha vu things (yeah I am sure I spelled it wrong).
Once last year I tried to make apple juice... of course I had no idea what I was doing, I chopped up 4 apples, added apple juice then mixed it in the blender :x it tasted revolting! Not to mention it takes tons and tons of apples just to get anything out of it. Especially when making apple sauce. But I think that you are supposed to cook it first, so that it breaks down better, but I don't know for sure.
I have made and still do regularly, fresh fruit smoothies. I love them, and no sugar added!
I use one of those hand blenders. Well depends on what you call a hand blender. Here they are all mixed up in Sweden of what they mean when they say blender, hand blender, mixer, etc. The thing I am talking about is a long slender thing, that has a metal propeller thing at the end, that will mix up just about anything.
It came with this like tall plastic container to mix things up in. Like a mini pitcher. Anyway, I will usually cut up an apple (sometimes peeled sometimes not), sometimes cut up a kiwi but not too often, break up a banana, cut up a pear, sometimes add pineapple either fresh or canned crushed, basically whatever i might have on hand. And I ALWAYS add some frozen strawberries. And sometimes frozen red rasberries which I tend to leave out, because of too many seeds. If I don't have any frozen berries I would have to add some ice cubes to make it cold.
Then I pour in a lil pineapple juice if I have any, sometimes I put in apricot or peach nectar if I have it, but again, not very much. Then I pour in some Orange Juice. I add enough fluid to just barely or almost cover the fruit.
Then I mix it all up!!! YUM!!! The main thing you will always taste is the strawberry. It is such a strong flavored fruit. Just mix and match fruits. Whatever you have. It needs no sugar at all.
It really fantastic!! And healthy!
When me and my sister get McDonalds, we like to remove the lid off the thickshake container and dip in our chips into the chocolate thickshake and eat it...
I know I am weird and eat weird things, but hey, thats me
LOL I did that all the time when I was a teen!! I still would do it with my kids when they learned of doing that. I had almost forgot about dipping french fries in vanilla or chocolate shakes until my kids did it.
Oh and I am the queen of eating weird things, which is really funny. Because I am a very very picky eater!!
My thing was always mustard! And dill pickles. But mainly mustard! Not brown mustard, I am talking that bright yellow vinegary type mustard. Or even Honey Mustard which I used to make or get at this special restaurant that had it.
I put mustard on everything. I used to just bring a mustard sandwich to school for lunch when I was a kid. And sometimes with sliced dill pickles on it.
I did this all thru my teenage years! I put it on EVERYTHING. I think it was just because I could tolerate mustard and it would gross everyone out, and that was fun.
Amazingly enough it was pretty good on Chocolate cake!!! Shocking! But it is NOT...I repeat NOT good on apple sauce or this brand of packaged dry soup mix called Lipton Noodle Soup they offered in the USA. Ick! But I think that was honey mustard I was putting that to.
Oh speaking of the french fries! They are GREAT with Honey Mustard.
To make honey mustard you just mix up the bright yellow mustard such as French's brand. And some mayonnaise, and of course honey. Just mix it until its to your liking. It is fantastic stuff. Great for dipping chicken too!!
I wonder if next year they will make sausage flavoured icecream... oh god that makes me want to puke just thinking of the idea...
P.S, what type of cake would you like? We have vanilla, black forest, sponge, chocolate, mud, butterscotch, caramel, strawberry...
LOL LOL LOL Sausage ice cream!!! If it were in Sweden I think it would be Fish Egg flavored Ice Cream! lol They eat caviar (not the black expensive stuff) that comes in what looks like a toothpaste tube) lol all the time! ICK
I will take a piece of Vanilla cake one of my absolute favorites, chocolate, mud, butterscotch because I have never had that kind, carmel and strawberry! Hmmm that pretty much covers all of them. Okay okay you've convinced me! I will eat a small piece of all of them. And then a large piece of my favorite.
Speaking of cake and weird foods. Once me and my friend convinced my husband, the Swede who is blue eyed and blond and very gullible, that the white cake with lil colored confetti candy that we were making was really Peanut Butter Tofu cake. He believed us and didn't eat any of it! hahahaha

Here is Sweden I think EVERYONE adds ketchup to their spaghetti!! I just don't get it! It's already made with tomatoes, so what's the point??
When he came to the USA when we got married, I always took it as an insult. I thought my spaghetti was just not good enough! I thought it wasn't saucy enough. So I did all kinds of changes. Different brands of sauce, more chunky, less chunky, etc etc etc. But he ALWAYS added ketchup!!!
I didn't know what else to do! When I came here to Sweden I found it is a Swedish thing, because they all do it!!!
Now I have to make my own homemade spaghetti from scratch, because they really don't have the jarred stuff here in Sweden. But now I learned how to do it, and it is a killer sauce! And it has a lil kick! hehehe
I just love it, and finally after I realize that it is a Swedish thing to put the ketchup on the spaghetti, a couple of times my husband said it was sooo good that he didn't even want to change it slightly. woohooo! At last!
